Well, it's here. My trip to Nepal for the Beyond workshop.
true story, i had this conversation with a friend a few weeks ago:
"i can't believe i'm going to kathmandu. You know, i only discovered that it was a real place a few years ago. I had always thought it was just a made up expression for far away places. like 'Its further than kathmandu!" you know, like transylvania"
"what about transylvania?"
"just a made up place for vampires, that doesn't actually exist"
"lexia, transylvania exists. it's a real place"
mind blown. and also embarrassed. i feel like someone just told me that unicorns are really real. and narwhals. (just kidding, i know narwhals exist)
So anyway, the point of this is that i'm off to a far-away place. so far i thought it wasn't real many years ago. and i hear there are no vampires there, which i'm thankful for. or unicorns. or narwhals. but i'll be out of the office until march 20th.
truthfully, i may have some internet. so i might post a little something. but i'm also going to use this time to really disconnect and rather connect with myself and the people i'm working with there. and, that's good since internet and even electricity is a bit spotty.
my plans?
photography. service for the community there. connecting with people. trekking through the himalayas. yoga. learning to be more flexible and humble. connecting with myself and remembering that i am my own person with my own dreams as well, and not just a mother devoted to her children.
I'll see you back here after the 20th!
